Washing & Care Guide

Protect the performance,
wash after wash.

Xirotex™ Cool is a performance fabric. Like any technical textile, it works best when cared for correctly. Follow these steps to preserve the heat-regulating properties for years to come.

Cool Gentle Wash
Machine wash cold or cool (max 30°C / 86°F) on a gentle cycle. Hot water degrades the Xirotex™ Cool fibres and can cause shrinkage in the 400TC cotton weave.
No Fabric Softener
Softener coats fibres and clogs the moisture-wicking channels that make the cooling effect work. This is the single most common cause of diminished sheet performance.
No Bleach
Bleach and harsh detergents break down the biobased cotton fibres and compromise the performance integrity of the fabric over time.
Tumble Dry Low
Dry on low heat, or air dry flat. High dryer heat is the second most common cause of premature wear. Low heat or air drying significantly extends the life of the weave.
Iron on Low — or Skip It
The Xirotex™ Cool finish doesn't require ironing. If needed, use the lowest setting only. Smoothing sheets while damp works equally well.
Wash Separately First
Wash your new sheets separately for the first one or two washes. New cotton may release trace dye that can transfer to other linens.

Recommended detergent: Use a gentle, fragrance-free liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents (may not fully dissolve in cool water) and detergents with optical brighteners, which can interfere with the fabric's natural properties.

What to expect: Your sheets may feel slightly firmer in the first few washes — this is completely normal. The cotton softens naturally with use while the cooling performance remains fully intact.
